About the Project

Hello!

Lumen Astralis is a project that helps people truly encounter space and themselves. It helps us feel that the Universe is not something distant and alien, but a reality we are part of. Through meetings and conversations about science, we make astronomy and other natural sciences closer, clearer, and more human.

It is not only about astronomical observations. It is also a space for conversation, where people can ask questions, be amazed, think, find like-minded people, and rediscover the scale of the world and the place of humanity within it. We hold different kinds of offline and online events, with sidewalk astronomy as the central format: open moments when anyone can look through a telescope for free.

Science communication, curiosity, and the desire to build a scientific picture of the world are the ideas at the heart of the project.
